Charles hails from the San Francisco Bay Area and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre Studies from Yale University. He studied classical acting at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, stand-up comedy with Lewis Black at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, and improv/sketch comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York. He has worked at the Yale Repertory Theatre under the direction of Evan Yionoulis and Mark Wing-Davey. Favorite roles at the NTC include Prior Walter in Angels in America, Chebutykin in Three Sisters, Giovanni in ’Tis Pity She’s a Whore, and Iago in his Solo Shakespeare Project. Most recently, he was seen on the Denver Center stage as Flute/Thisby in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
